For Glenmore members only, there will be an intermediate clinic to hone the skills you learned during the beginner’s clinic. Focus will be on balanced delivery, weight, timing rocks, and maybe video analysis.

Obituary – Ulysse Belliveau

C’est avec un grand regret que je vous annonce le décès d’Ulysse Belliveau à l’âge de 87 ans. Le décès est survenu dimanche 8 décembre 2013 vers 8h00 am. Ulysse était un homme bon et dévoué pour sa famille ,ses amis et la communauté.
Le service d’Ulysse aura lieu au Complexe Funéraires Yves Legare 14370 boul. Pierrefonds, Pierrefonds, Vendredi le 13 décembre de 15h00 à 17h00 puis de 19h00 à 21h00.
Une cérémonie religieuse aura lieu le Samedi 14 décembre à 11h30 à l’église Saint-David, 12450 Rue Gascon, Pierrefonds,.
Ulysse est enfin partie rejoindre la lumière éternelle et qui brillera pour toujours pour lui.

Glenmore COLTS Bonspiel – Nov 8-10, 2013

Glenmore is hosting a Colts Circuit Bonspiel from November 8-10th.. “Colts” is for curlers with 5 years of curling experience or less. We are still in need of a couple teams, so if you are eligible and would like to participate you can sign up a team at the following link: www.curlingcolts.com. You can also sign up as a spare.
As well we are still looking for volunteers with ice maintenance, snacks, etc. If you would like to help out, please contact me at randy.sewell@bell.net

Spaghetti Supper – Friday, October 18th

You are invited to attend a special event at Glenmore!
Friday October 18th will be a special evening at Glenmore. We are combining the first TGIF evening of the year with a Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser for Team Fournier, our Mixed Provincial Champions who will represent Glenmore at the Nationals Championships in November. Tickets are only $10.00, so don’t eat before you come to the club.
Representatives of Curling Quebec will also be there to present Glenmore with three separate Méritas awards recently earned by our club:
- Curling Club of the Year (2013)
- Club Coach of the Year (Nancy Harvey)
- Volunteer of the Year (Stanley Fong)
Please be there to help us proudly celebrate our accomplishments of the past year. Dinner will be served throughout the evening, starting at 6:30. We look forward to seeing all our old friends again and starting the new season in style!

Glenmore Indian Summer Bonspiel 2013

The annual Glenmore Indian Summer bonspiel takes place October 2nd to 6th, 2013 at Glenmore Curling Club. Once again this year we are hosting two sections – 24 open team event, and an 8 team women’s event. Entry fee is $300 and includes Circuit Provincial fees. Total prize money of $7500 available (provided full 32 team sign up). See poster for more details! Deadline to register is September 25th, 2013.
